Thankyou Mick for the anchor winch. Installed it in my Streaker 585 Tournament in it's anchor well - fitted nicely and the instructions were easy to follow. Matched it with 8mm PE line ( the soft line that is like nylon- bought 100 metres of it for about $120 at Discount Seamart in Melbourne) and 8mm short link chain with a Sarca anchor. Tried it in Corio Bay (with over 15 moves) and Westernport where the tidal currents are strong- it held the boat anchored and it worked perfectly on every retrieve and drop. I had to put a roller on the deck just in front of the anchor well. Will recommend it to others.
Regards - Joe.

I have one of Micks winches on my boat and they are the ducks nuts....well made, performed flawlessly so far and not too hard to install. Would never be without a winch from now on!!

Well as the years go bye we all feel the pounding of the boat a little more and the anchor gets ever so heavier.
But not for me IVE GOT A " MICKS WINCH "
After reading all the posts on this and other forums I decided to join the 21st century and save me thousands of dollars in physiotherapy bills later and take the plunge and invest in a winch. After doing a little research there really is no comparison for me.
I was sick of the pick draggn thru when it blows up so Ive upsized my anchor to a no.5 grapnell, 10 metres of large link chain and I still managed to get 125 METRES of 8mm nylon rope on there.
My boat will never drag again
The unit is super fast and installed in only a day and a half during spare time and well.......... Im over the moon.
Thanks to all you blokes raving about how great they are, ya got me motivated to get goin too !
This christmas holidays will be that bit easier on Dads back.

Cheers big Mick for your help mate true gentleman.

Anyway, if your in the market for an anchor winch, it's worth having a look at a Mick's winch.

Just a quick note for anyone concerned. I recently purchased a Micks winch. Used it several times on the weekend around Turton. The best addition to the boat by far. Makes life much easier. Quality product and Mick was a pleasure to deal with. Any one considering installing an anchor winch, I strongly advise having a look at one.
My fishing just got easier!
Havent felt this good after being on the water for 8 hrs eva.

Hi Mick,
I have waited a while until the initial rush subsided after the pleasurable experience of purchase & instalation of your products. Now that the winch has backed up your claims I recommend to everyone contemplating the installation of a winch to select "Mick's Winch".
Your response to all facets from enquirey to installation was as we used to get in the "good old days". Well done & thank you for the quality unit supplied & fitted at excellent value for money.

I have had the opportunity to get the boat out a number of times, caught some nice fish and in particular test out the famous Mick Winch you recently installed on my boat.

I must say I am stoked with the ease and being able to either drop or retrieve the anchor and get on the desired “right spot”. If you’re not quiet on the “spot” it’s simply just a matter of winching up and moving and dropping the anchor again. It’s a pleasure to just sit back and press the button and let the anchor winch do the rest. It takes the back straining effort out of pulling up the anchor and as we are getting older makes it possible to continue enjoying boating without the hard yakka of manually pulling up the anchor.

Many thanks again

Hooky.
